New Kliklok cartoner packs McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes

Kliklok-Woodman will soon be installing their new high-speed stainless steel cartoning machine, the CELOX, at United Biscuits’ McVitie’s factory in Manchester.

Increased production and a need for higher efficiency prompted the requirement for a high performance, fully automatic, end load cartoner, to handle single, double & triple packs of the ever-popular McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes.

An long-standing Kliklok customer, United Biscuits (“UB”) chose the CELOX not only for its easy, repeatable size-change benefits but also for its use of servo controls, increased reliability & advanced diagnostics capabilities – thanks to the icon-based operator touch screen.

The innovative modular design of the CELOX enables efficient integration with automatic product handling equipment. UB opted for a Vortex loading & collating unit, which Kliklok incorporated easily into the Celox machine to provide a complete high-speed packaging line at up to 240 cartons per minute.

Kliklok will be exhibiting the new CELOX cartoner at the forthcoming Interpack show in Dusseldorf, 24th to 30th April – Hall 17, stand A44.
